    Please I need to find out if anyone who has taken plaquenil has experienced back and hip pain. I started in Oct of 2011 taking 200 mg of plaquenil once a day. In April of 2012 I started taking 400 mg 2 x's a day. I did start to notice that I was having pain when I tried to sleep at night. Mostly in my arms hands and ankles. Plaquenil hydroxychloroquine may cause psychiatric side effects. The clinical presentation of the psychosis induced by Plaquenil in a patient without psychiatric past of manifestations such as delirium, hallucinations, maniac episodes or depression, may begin after an interval of a few hours to 40 days, usually regressing one week after suspension of the treatment. Hydroxychloroquine is a type of anti-inflammatory medication used to treat some types of hair loss such as lichen planopilaris and sometimes discoid lupus and frontal fibrosing alopecia. It is classified as an anti malarial pill because certain closely related medications i.e.

    Malaria is spread by mosquitoes, which transmit the parasites that cause the infection, usually in tropical and subtropical parts of the world. It's used to treat and prevent malaria infection, and to reduce symptoms and progression of autoimmune diseases such as lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, and others.
